Two years have passed really fast. So here I am at the Immigration to extend my pass again.
Where: Immigration Office (Visa, Permit & Pass Department) +Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam
Opening Hour: 7.30am (Queue starts at 7am)
Here's what I need to bring:
1. My own passport - original + photocopy of front & latest visa page
2. Spouse's IC - original for verification + photocopy
3. Marriage Cert - original for verification + photocopy
And here's what to do when I get there:
1. 7.30am: Get 3 forms for social visit pass extension from the counter
- Application for Extension of Visit Pass Form (ACTION: to fill in)
- 'Permohonan Untuk Visa Form' (ACTION: to fill in)
- 'Surat Akuan Sumpah Suami Isteri Form' (ACTION: to be stamped by the Commissioner of Oath)
2. 8.00am: Get the 'Surat Akuan Sumpah Suami & Isteri Form' stamped by the Commissioner of Oath (NOTE: If you do at +Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam , there are 2 Commissioner of Oath offices, Lot 02-23A & Lot 02-23C, located at the same floor (Level 2 of Immigration Office). The fee is RM8. Both the applicant and his/her spouse have to be there to get this oath done.
3. 8.15am: Go back to the counter to get the queue number. The waiting time varies. I waited for about 3 hours for my number to be called (before their lunch hour which is at 12.30pm on Friday and 1pm on the other weekdays), then submitted all the documents, made the payment and in return they issued a slip which stated all the collection time & details.
Processing time: 3 working days
Collection time: usually in the afternoon
Fee: RM 420
Final Output: Passport with 4-year Social Visit Pass (multiple entry visa) + Official Receipts
NOTE:
- All photocopied documents should be in A4 size and accompanied by the originals
- At the time of application (submission of documents & application form), both the applicant and the spouse must be present.
- Collection of passport can be done by the applicant herself/himself. IMPORTANT to double check the name and passport details are correct before you leave.
