  1. Hi Miki,

May I ask ur new passport 85RM is that for 48 pages?

I just renew my passport on June 2016 & I've been charged 102 RM for 48 pages passport. I asked how come the price different with the advertisement I saw while submitting the doc? The staff said its bcs they will used epassport & for those IT things, so the price add on. But end up I still got a normal passport (not epassport).

    Just curious want to know.

    Thanks.

  5. Hi Miki, my wife will be renewing her Indo passport towards end of 2017. Did you encounter any difficulties while renewing yours. Like when is a good time to come to the embassy, which gate/door to go to. Which counter to queue at..Any problems with the photo and biometrics capture. etc.....I am wondering if its easier to go to Penang if the queues are much shorter?

    1. Hi mr chan, i'd say i didnt encounter any difficulties but rather a super long queue even when I arrived 7+am. There was only 1 line to get the service number, but just need to queue and follow the instruction like everybody else. I'm not aware of the Indo embassy in Penang. Wish you all the best for your wife's passport renewal :)

Last question, is the procedure 1. queue to take service number 2. they call number to take photo and do biometrics capture 3. they call again to submit documents 4. they call again for payment and to tell you when to collect passport.

    3. Hi Mr Chan, The embassy officer will help us take photo. The procedure is 1. Queue for checking document counter. 2. Queue to get your number 3. Wait they call the number - U will submit doc, take photo and biometrics capture. And we will pay and get the receipt at the counter. 4. Collect passport as per the date stated.

    1. Hi if u're allowed to travel when your passport is still valid for 6 months, why do u need to renew it here while traveling in Malaysia? I doubt you can renew here as we need to show our visa page.
However, you may call the Indonesia Embassy directly to check, all the best!

  10. Hi Miki,
Once you collected the new passport, do you went straight to renew the ltvp on the same week? As we are staying at Selangor now, I'm planning to just renew my passport at KBRI KL and only going back to Penang to renew my ltvp maybe 2 or 3 weeks after. Do you know whether it's okay, or we have to renew the ltvp as soon as we receive the new passport? Thank you so much!

  11. Hi Miki,
My daughter holds a Dutch passport which has her residence visa for Malaysia. However, she also has an Indonesian passport but it expired 14May2018.

Question: Is it okay to renew her Indonesian passport later in time or will there be issues if her Indonesian passport is not renewed shortly.

    Thanks,
    Gerhard

    1. Hello Gerhard, Thanks for visiting my blog.

I suggest that you check with the Indonesian Embassy in KL if there is certain time allowance to let the passport expire and before she renews it, just to avoid any difficulties in the future :) all the best!

    3. Was at Ind. Embassy. Unfortunately not allowed in with shorts.. The people inside office outside the building mentioned that there is no problem for my daughter to get an Indonesian passport at later date but to be safe best not leave it too long..... Which is not much help I am afraid. Oh well, will leave it for now. At the end of the day she should indeed be able to have an Indonesian passport till the age of 18 since she is entitled to have dual nationality till that age and moreover, the mother is Indonesian. Not to worried...

  12. Good post. Thanks for sharing the great news. I love Chauhan Solicitors Immigration is a great source for UK visa and immigration services and get more information from this. Looks like I got information about Spouse visa Uk. that is You are an overseas citizen and are married to a UK citizen or a person with an established status (ILR) or refugee or humanitarian protection leave in the UK, Spouse visa UK is compulsory. You must apply for admission to the issue (overseas) or leave to stay in the country.
