Approval to Work for the Spouse of a Malaysian Citizen (2)

7.30 am: Arrive at Immigration

Bring the following documents:

1. Offer Letter from the hiring company stating:

- Job position and the salary

- Signed by both employer and employee

- Stamped by Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDM)

ACTION: If you haven’t got your offer letter stamped by Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri, all you have to do is go to LHDM Office, Level 9, Plaza Perangsang, 3-minute walk from PKNS Kompleks.

LDHM Office opens at 8 am.

Waiting Time: 10-15 mins

Fee: RM 10

2. Photocopy of Company Registration Letter from SSM, accompanied by Form 14, 51& 58

3. Photocopy of Passport Front Page and Visa Page

4. Photocopy of Malaysian Spouse’s IC

5. Photocopy of Marriage Certificate

6. Collect ‘Surat Akuan Sumpah Suami Isteri Form’ from the Info Counter 

ACTION: Go to Commissioner of Oath Office, Lot 02-23A/C in PKNS Kompleks, to get the form endorsed.

Commissioner of Oath office opens at 9 am.

Waiting Time: 10-15 mins

Fee: RM 8

9.30 am: Go back to the Info Counter with all the completed forms and get a queue number

Malaysian spouse must be present in front of the officer at the Info Counter. Since my husband needs to leave for work, I informed the officer and got him/her put a remarks accordingly.

3.00 pm: Submit documents to the Officer

After submitting all the documents, in return, the officer gave me an acceptance slip to bring for collection.

Processing Time: 2 working days

Fee: Free of Charge

Collection of passport can be done by the applicant herself/himself. IMPORTANT to double check all the details are correct before you leave.
