Top 10 Ice Cream & Softserve in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

Recently I'm obsessed with trying all the newly opened ice cream and soft serve parlours around my neighbourhood. I mean, who can resist ice cream right? As they always say, there's always room for dessert ;P

I'm listing out here from my least favourite to my top favourite.

Eat @ Pop Up Dining KL

This was a while back ago when I had my first Pop Up Dining (kind of supperclub) experience. I thought it was quite cool and want to share it here. Pop Up Dining KL is run by few aspiring chefs, they do not own a place so they basically pop from one venue to another. They usually pop at cafes, the recent ones at Lorem Ipsum, Sevencups, Project Space and Jaslyn Cakes being the regular spot. Anyways, this one that I had was at a private house at Bangsar.

Making Kiwi Jam

Helloo.. it's been a looong time since I posted my last blog.

Anyways, I'm back :D .. Here's an easy recipe for making any kind of jam, in this case I'm using golden kiwis. You may use strawberries, blueberries, cherries (if it's in season) or mixed berries.

Eat in Dewakan @KDU Glenmarie (Malaysia) & Driving Direction

Dewakan is one of the very few fine dining restaurants in Malaysia, opened recently on March 2nd, by Chef Darren Teoh, who wrote the book Redefinition. 'Dewakan' comes from two Malay words - 'Dewa' means God and 'Makan' means to eat. In Dewakan restaurant, they honour the bounty and blessings given by the God to the land. As far as I know, Chef Darren Teoh always makes use of local Malaysian ingredients, exploring each and every possible ways to make the best dish out of it.

First, when we were seated, we were greeted by this pot of plant. In fact, it is our first snack. The twigs were edible, dipped in budu mayonnaise. Budu is a fish sauce product from Terengganu.
