Five-spice Roasted Pork

Here's the super easy roasted pork that you can make at home.

Roasted-pork

Ingredients:

200 g pork (I used pork belly)
2 tsp five-spice powder
1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder

Marinade (into 1 mixing bowl):
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp shaoxing wine
1 tbsp red beancurd
1 tbsp grated garlic (or same amount of Worldfoods garlic paste)
1/2 tbsp grated ginger (or same amount of Worldfoods ginger paste)

Method:

1. First, rub the pork with five-spice powder and white pepper powder.
2. Pour all the marinade sauce to the pork and let in marinade in the fridge overnight.
3. Heat up the oven to 200 C. Place the pork in a baking tray, cover with aluminium foil and bake for 40 minutes. Do not discard the marinade sauce.
4. Take out the pork, brush with the marinade sauce and add more honey, continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, without cover.
5. When the sauce is bubbling, take out the pork. Let it rest a bit, then slice it and arrange it on a plate.
6. In a small skillet, heat up the sauce. Pour the sauce over the pork slices.
7. Garnish with spring onion.
